Mrs. Hubbard was born in Cranston, Iowa, in 1937 to George and Opal Amos. She married Harold E. Hubbard on April 21, 1957, in Muscatine. He died July 30, 2011. For a time, she worked for Central State Bank, but she spent the majority of her life making a loving home for her family. She enjoyed embroidering, crafts, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She and her husband were members of Grace Evangelical Free Church, Davenport.
Survivors include daughters, Lorie Thiessen (Jeff), Lisa Black (Tom), Lynette Hubbard, all of Davenport, and Lois Hubbard, Bettendorf; six grandchildren, John Black, Thomas Black, Joshua Thiessen, Brandon Thiessen, Danielle Thiessen and Ashley Thiessen; sisters Alice Lissner of McGregor, Minn., and Helen Hilbrant (Richard) of Muscatine; brother, Floyd Amos (Shirley) of Muscatine; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Paul Amos.
