He was born April 4,1942, in Halifax Country, to the late Willie O Wells and Irma Hardee Wells.
While he resided in North Carolina ( Roanoke Rapids ) he worked as a mechanic at J.P. Stevens Textile.
He is survived by his son Danny Wells, Barry Wells and Jonathan Wells; grandson, Blake Wells; sister Nancy Driver and Carolyn Ellis and brothers Wayne Wells and John Yarbrough.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday April 16 at Wrenn, Clarke& Hagan funeral & Cremation Service 1115 W 5th St, Roanoke Rapids, N.C. 27870
