Billy Ray Nix age 76 of Henagar died Thursday, April 14th at De Kalb Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are Sunday at 4 pm ct at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rayford Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Mtn. Home cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1 to 8 pm ct Saturday and 11 am until service time on Sunday.
Survivors include wife, June Lucy Nix, daughters, Laurie Nix(Mike Parrish), Lisa Miller(Joey), Tami Jackson(Neil), grandchildren, Rachel Ramsey(Shane), Christopher Kirby(Leslie Lacey), Michael Ivey(Carolyn), Lexi Ivey, Eric Jackson, great-grandchildren, Kalib, Kaydence and Noah Ramsey, Jared Lacey, Drake & Natalie Jsckson, sister, Freda Nix Lucy(Huey).
Mr. Nix served in the Army National Guard and was a retired Sheetmetal worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Joel and Velma Angelina Lawrence Nix, sister, Gerry Bucy, brothers, Herman, Herbert and Charles Nix.
