Marvin Kenneth “Kenny” Roberts Jr., age 68 of Marceline, died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at his home. Kenny was born at South Bend, Indiana on August 4, 1947 to Marvin Kenneth and Maurita (Buster) Roberts Sr. He married Sandra Jean Almond on November 9, 1996.
Kenny was a Veteran of the United States Navy and had worked at Walsworth Publishing Company. He was a member of the Sumner American Legion, Puddle Jumpers Bass Club and attended the Bevier Christian Church in his younger years. He enjoyed fishing, family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Sandra of the home in Marceline, daughter Angela Littrell and Greg “Festus”, Oologah, OK; three stepsons, Joe Ault, Washougal, WA; Rusty Ault and Linda, Branson, and Jeremy Ault and significant other Jennifer, Grandview, stepdaughter Lora Gillespie and David “Chisel”, Chillicothe, two brothers, Larry Curry and Jeannie, Bowling Green, KY; Mike Dawson and Dee, Pittsburgh, PA; two sisters Edna Jean Hontz and Bob, New Cambria, Karen Bernard, Novinger, brother-in-law Don Almond and Karen, Platte City, sister-in-law Julia Jackson and Dan Brady, Bucklin, sixteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and special friends Tim and Mary McCoy and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Mary Lorraine Roberts who raised him, infant son Robin Lee, two sisters, and one brother.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 22, 2016 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marceline. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM Friday at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline. Memorials may be made to Bucklin American Legion or Petska Cancer Fund and these may be sent to 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
