Lola Wanice Mertis and her twin brother, Marion, were born on September 4, 1929, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late James Thomas McKeon and Mamie A. Wheeler McKeon. She married Albert Hall on November 11, 1946, in Fort Worth. They moved to Granbury in 1952 to continue their career in the dairy business. She was a homemaker and active in her church and her children’s schools. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Granbury.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; a son, Stanley Hall; sisters: Louise McKeon, Mildred Oliveira, Loraine Reynolds, and Florine Gerlich; and brothers: Raymond, Jim, Gene, Vernon Thomas, Preston McKeon, and two-week-old infant twin brother, Marion.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Scanio and her husband, Philip, of Temple; grandchildren: Leska Parker and her husband, Blake, of League City, Tony Scanio and his wife, Crystal, of Irving, Scott Hall and his wife, Carol, of Jackson, Michigan, and Shawn Moreno Pemberton, also of Jackson, Michigan; ten great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
