Nita Joyce Jones, was born 12 April 1926 in Ranger, Eastland County, Texas to Robert Lee and Evelyn Wilson Jones. She had an older brother, Calvin Eugene Jones, who died as an infant 15 June 1925 in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas. Nita attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas.

Nita married James Harrell Young 25 Dec 1942 in San Diego, California, and they had three sons, Steven Allan Young, David Michael Young and Gregory Lane Young. She and James divorced in about 1960 in Dallas, Texas.

She married John Earl Wesson 22 Oct 1966 in Dallas, Dallas, Texas. They separated in 1988.

Nita was a resident of Hays Nursing Center in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas for 23 years. She passed away on 12 Dec 2011 and was buried in San Marcos City Cemetery on 15 Dec 2011. She was the grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
