Ida Merryman was born about 1866 in Illinois. She was the daughter of Ira Merryman and Eliza Jane (Wood) Merryman. In 1870, the family lived in Mercer County, Illinois. By 1880, the family lived in Nodaway County, Missouri.

Ida married Enoch Tucker on 13 Mar 1881 at Nodaway County. They moved to Miami County, Kansas. Then they moved to Galena, Kansas. After 1900, they moved to Newton County, Missouri, and then to nearby Wyandotte, Oklahoma. Enoch was a farmer and worked in the mines in the area.

Ida passed away on Sunday, 04 Mar 1923, at her home in Miami, Oklahoma, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at the Holiness Church on Monday afternoon, March 5th. Rev. C. A. Roberts officiated. Burial followed in the G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami.

Ida was survived by her husband of the home; and six siblings, Dora Merryman, Lydia Merryman, and Clint Merryman of Denver, CO; Andrew Merryman and Mrs. Ella Groves of Los Angeles, CA; and Mrs. Thirza Awalt of Arkansas City, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Orrin, who was lost in the Yukon River in 1893. Ida and Enoch did not have any children.
