Celia Dorothy Theobald, 83 of Houston, died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Valley View Healthcare and Rehab.
Celia was born November 13, 1932 in Houston to Paul & Dorothy (Williams) Palmquist.
On June 10, 1949, she married Roger Jergenson and together they had six children and later divorced.
Celia worked for many years as a seamstress at a Garment Factory in La Crosse and as a CNA at Valley View Healthcare and Rehab for 25+ years.
November 11, 1988, Celia married Elden "Toppy" Theobald and they spent many wonderful years together until his passing in 2015.
Celia loved bowling, golfing, gardening, was an avid reader and loved cats. She was very musical and enjoyed playing the organ. Her grandkids were her true pride and joy and she loved teaching them new card games and board games. Celia was a lifetime member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church.
She is survived by four sons; Dan (Lorrie) Jergenson of Cape Coral, FL, Terry (Anette) Jergenson of Houston, Tim (Sherry) Jergenson of Houston and Mike (Debra) Jergenson of Caledonia; two daughters, Mary (Harold) Naber of Houston and Kathy (Terry Seekamp) Young of Houston; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; Toppy's Children and Grandchildren; one sister, Avis Fredrick of Rochester; two brothers, Paul Palmquist of Stockton and Dale Palmquist of Ocala, FL; and two aunts, Lorraine Orr of Winona and Anita Palmquist of Houston.
Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church with the Reverend Leonard Liptack officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - Houston is assisting the family with arrangements.
