Celebration of Life for Jimmy "Squirrel" Langston, 67, of West Monroe, LA, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at The Assembly of West Monroe with Bro. Jimmy Piercy officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church.

Jimmy "Squirrel" Langston was born October 7, 1948 and departed from this life on Saturday, April 16, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Monroe, West Monroe area and the owner operator of Squirrel & Sherry Motorcycle Shop of West Monroe, La. Jimmy has served his community for many years and has received many rewards for his accomplishments. He was honored and received the Ladies Humanitarian AM Vet Award of the year in Washington, DC and served his Country in the United States Army. Jimmy was one of the founders of The MDA Toys for Tots.

He is preceded in death by his father, Horace Langston and granddaughter, Madden Elizabeth Langston.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 39 years, Sherry Cruse Langston; mother, Mary Anderson Langston, four children, Lisa Bevers and husband Ronnie, James Langston and wife Leslie, Tena Fox and Gena Marshall; two sisters, Anita Bower and husband L.E.; Priscilla Langston and Donnie Council; brother, Noel Langston and wife Sandra; five grandchildren, Corporal Ryan Bevers, Abigail Bevers, Landon Bevers, Owen Langston and Jackson Langston; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

Pallbearers will be David Ashcraft, Steven Eubanks, Cecil Crawford, Mark Johnson, Chris Mangam, Duke Sonnier, "EZ" Albert Ezell, Ronnie Ward (Hippie); Honorary Pallbearers Paul Barron, Wezeil Crump, Country Paul Rhea, James Delrio, Bubba Gowen and Ron Traxler.
