Laura, 90, Wapakoneta, died at 10:25 p.m., at Wapakoneta Manor.

She was the daughter of George and Blanche (Rhen) Freeland. On Apr 14, 1951, she married Dr. Marlin L. Stephenson, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons: Dr. Robert Lee 'Bob' (Arlene), Encinitas, CA, and Daniel Paul 'Dan' (Anita), Sarasota, FL; two daughters: Joan Elaine (Bill) McCarty, Arlington, VA, and Marcia Louise (Mark) Smith, Beavercreek; and four grandchildren.

Deceased are a granddaughter, Alexis Hope Smith; and a brother and six sisters.

A homemaker, she was a church choir director and pianist. She was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church, Wapak, and a graduate of The King's College, NY. She enjoyed gardening, and most especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Services will be at Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Wapak. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapak.
