Shannon D. Vincent, 87, of Longmont, CO died March 2, 2016 at TRU Community Care Hospice.

He was born on December 4, 1928 in Brownsville, KY to Ona and Hettie Vincent. Shannon was the oldest sibling of 5 children. He had 3 brother, Randall, James & Laymon and a sister Shirley (all preceding him in death). Shannon moved from Kentucky to Longmont in 1945. He married Betty Hessler in 1948 in Johnstown, Colorado. Shannon and Betty were married for 68 years. Shannon was employed by the City of Longmont beginning at the age of 16 in 1945. He began his career with the City of Longmont at the Sunset Golf Course, he then transferred to the Longmont Water Treatment Plant in Lyons, where he and his family resided because of his promotion. Shannon concluded his career with the city at the Longmont Hydro Plant in 1990. After retirement, he and Betty moved back to Longmont and he drove for many car dealers in town and the Metro area.

Shannon is survived by his wife, daughter and son-in-law, a granddaughter, great-grandson, great-great-granddaughter and his sister-in-law.
