Mrs. Mattie Mitchell, of Montgomery, AL departed this life September 2, 2014.

Funeral Services will be held September 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM from Zion Hill Baptist Church with Pastor C. B. Croskery, officiating.

Interment will follow in Eastwood Memorial Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Mitchell; father and mother, Benjamin Braswell and Willie Mae Braswell; brothers, Willie James, Fred and Ben Braswell; and sister, Bennie L. Braswell (Willie L., Sr.) Walker.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four sisters, Geneva Thomas, Ruby Braswell Williams (the late Johnny Williams, II), Betty Braswell and Willie Mae Braswell, all of Montgomery, AL; two brothers, Wilson and Willie Lewis Braswell, both of Montgomery, AL; three sisters-in- law, Mildred D. Braswell, Mary Jo Braswell, and Lillie Bell Rainsaw; two adopted sons, Billy Johnson and Mark Johnson; a special caregiver, Willie L. Walker, Jr.; one special friend, Barbara Johnson; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
