Gloria Marder Hendrix, 90, of Dallas and formerly of Tyler, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Dallas.

She was born October 8, 1925 in Dallas to Carl and Minette Marder.
She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas.

Gloria moved to Tyler in 1946 where she lived until after her husband's death in 2009 eventually moving back to Dallas to be closer to her family. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Green Acres Baptist Church, where she was an active member of The Joy Sunday school class. She served as Chairman of the Kitchen committee for several years. She was also a past President of the Tyler Woman's Forum and enjoyed many years of working with the Tyler Rose Festival. She has been a member of the Pythian Sisters since 1946.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hendrix was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Ralph Hendrix; brother, Carl Marder; sister, Barbara Ann Marder.

She is survived by her loving family who were the delight of her life, including two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice Baroski and husband Albert of Houston and Jill Gilmer and husband Doyce of Dallas; son, Randy Hendrix and wife Dana Jill of Tyler; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Fenstad, Jason McCormick, Timothy Weng, Justin Gilmer, Glenn Offutt, Mick Cragoe, Jimmy Rex, David Davenport, Roger Smith, Ken Dance and Glen Uzzel.
