He was preceded in death by his parents, Cordell and Grace Dobson Anderson.
Mickey is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debbie Anderson, of Gulfport; his children, Mickey “Mick” G. (Holly) Anderson, Jr., of Wiggins, and Lisa (Jason) Davis, of McHenry; his siblings, Kirby Anderson of McHenry, Brenda Keller of Philadelphia, MS, Joan Riddle of McHenry, Larry Anderson and Brice Anderson, both of Saucier, Cathy Woods and Janet Johnson, both of Gulfport, MS; his grandchildren, Mary-Pate Morris, Sarah Paige Anderson, Shelby Grace Davis, and Cooper Lane Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mickey proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War in the 173rd Airborne Brigade. After active duty, he worked at Keesler Air Force Base in Civil Service as a heavy equipment operator. He was also a licensed auctioneer, and he loved fishing, hunting, and going on family vacations.
Mickey never met a stranger, and he will be remembered for always having a joke to tell.
There will be a visitation on Monday, April 18, 2016, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, from 11:00am until the service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
