Helen worked in retail sales at Smart Wear and Ken’s Menswear in downtown Moberly and for J.C. Penny for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church Priscilla Group and also served as a volunteer to deliver Meals on Wheels.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, granddaughter Tracey A. Elsberry and brothers Robert and Donald Clickner.
She is survived by her children, Randy Elsberry and Susan of Kansas City, MO and Dale Elsberry of Columbia, MO; granddaughter Lori Fitzgerald and husband Sean of Panama Beach City, FL; great grandchildren John Michael Fitzgerald and Olivia Elyse Fitzgerald, sister-in-law Louise Elsberry of Warrensburg, several nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. She considered the staff and residents at Meadow Ridge to be her second family.
Services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:00 at First Christian Church in Moberly, MO followed by interment in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service, also at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to First Christian Church, 300 East Coates Street Moberly, MO.
