James "Doug" Redden, age 60, of Butler, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016, at Hospice of Hope, in Maysville, Kentucky. He was born in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, on November 16, 1955, a son of the late Harold and Helen Fields Redden. He was a member of Pine Grove Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by: a sister, Norma Smith; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nolan and Margaret Clift. He is survived by: his wife of 43 years, Mindy Jo Redden; two children, Jacob (Jolynn) Redden and Amy (John) Montgomery; nine siblings, Ron (Judy) Redden, Alan (Melanie) Redden, Steve (Nancy) Redden, Rick (Mary) Redden, Daryl (Jan) Redden, Robert Redden, Shirley (Keith) Mitchell, Valorie (Greg) Ramsey and Beverly Bishop; five grandchildren, Jenna Montgomery, Katelyn Montgomery, Jacob Redden, Jared Redden and Jonathan Redden; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Peoples Funeral Home, in Butler. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Doug's final resting place will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in Butler. Memorials, if desired, are suggested to: Pine Grove Methodist Church, 4309 Concord Caddo Road, Falmouth, Kentucky 41040; or Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Drive, Maysville, Kentucky 41056.
