He was born March 7, 1944 in Braggs to Clarence and Helen (Davidson) Haynes and passed away April 14, 2016 in Heavener.
Gene was a life-long resident of the area. He was a retired conductor for the Kansas City Southern Railroad. Gene was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served his country with the 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam Era. He loved to hunt, fish, fly, and work in his gun shop.,
Oklahoma at the age of 72.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by three daughters, Leslie Browand and husband Gary of Owasso, and Natalie Clark and husband Glen of Hulbert, and Diana Almond of Bentonville, Ark.; two sisters Judy Rowland of Hot Springs, Ark. and Robin Smith of Fort Smith, Ark.; one brother Randy Haynes of Heavener; eight grandchildren Avery, Connor, Ashton, Clay, Robbie, Reagan, Tyler and Emily; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
