Kathleen Angela Hart, 78, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully at home with her hand being held by her loving daughter.
Born in New Philadelphia, May 31, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Sophia Vanititis Martin.
Kathleen was a member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, New Philadelphia.
She was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry, and also owned and operated a tavern in Greenbury.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo J. Hart Sr., in 1998; two sons, Leo J. Hart Jr., in 2003, and John V. Hart, in 1996; a sister, Judy Martin Rulavage; a brother, Michael Martin; a niece, Diane Rulavage; a nephew, James Edwards.
Kathleen is survived by a daughter, Rose Kulbitsky, New Philadelphia; granddaughters, Autumnrose Kulbitsky and partner, Darlene Perry, Reading, Angela R. and husband, David Bowers, Pottsville, and Rebecca Toth, Minersville; great-grandchildren, Davin and Aspen Bowers, Khamil, Kole and Sage Toth, Minersville; sisters, Margaret Edwards and husband, Thomas, Theresa McNavage, Christine Kubick and Frances Martin; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and -nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, New Philadelphia, with the Rev. Ronald Minner as the celebrant. Friends and family may call from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery.
