Mr. George W. Dahmer, 77, of Hattiesburg died Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. He was retired from the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Dahmer, Sr.; mother, Ora Lee Dahmer; and three brothers Alvin, Martinez, and Carroll Dahmer.
He is survived by his wife, Doris L. Dahmer of Hattiesburg; two sons, Michael Dahmer and Deryk (Elnora) Dahmer both of Hattiesburg; two daughters, Deborah (Gerald) Wilkerson of Hattiesburg and Julie (Corey) Croom of Okinawa, Japan; mother, Ellie Jewel Dahmer of Hattiesburg; one sister, Bettie Dahmer of Hattiesburg; three brothers, Vernon (Lue Jimmie) Dahmer, Jr., and Harold (Kathryn) Dahmer both of Hattiesburg, and Dennis Dahmer of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 12 - 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Hattiesburg. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Church Cemetery. Young's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
