Ava Inez Bailey, 84, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at her home. Service is at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Jeff Fenwick and Jerry Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home.
Born June 3, 1931 in Anson, Ava was a daughter of the late Virgil and Johnnie (Scott) Lindsey. She married Bill Bailey October 18, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1997.
Ava was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Ava was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother and one granddaughter (Afton Wallace).
Survivors include one son, Billy Bailey; five daughters, Shirley Thomas, Peggi Bailey, Debbi Moore, Jackie Bennett and Patti Smith; two brothers, Nolan Lindsey and Eugene Lindsey; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
