Tony Hensley
WEAVERVILLE, Feb. 22- Tony Hensley, died at this home in the Herron Cove section near Weaverville at 10:45 a.m. today. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Hensley, a native and former resident of Madison County, served 25 years in the Army as an infantryman. He received his honorable discharge in 1946. He attended the Weaverville Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held Friday at the Weaverville Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. The Rev. H. B. Dendy will officiate, and burial will be in the Hensley family cemetery near the Shelton Laurel section of Madison County. Pallbearers will be friends of the family. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Eliza Thomas Hensley; a son, Anthony of the home; four brothers, A. L., Earl and Emerson Hensley of Dearborn, Mich., and Clement Hensley of Madison County; and two sisters, Mrs. Donald Haney of Marshall RFD 3, and Mrs. Lola Shelton of Weaverville. The body will be taken to the home Thursday afternoon and will lie in state in the church one hour prior to the service.
