Visitation will be Monday April 18 at Langsford Funeral Home from 10:30-11am, memorial service at 11, and burial to follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery. Lloyd was born November 5, 1936 in Independence and raised in Sugar Creek, MO. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1955. In 1975, he married Joyce Casey. He worked for Independence Power and Light Local #53 and Fike Metal Corp. of Blue Springs. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of Abundant Life Church in Lee’s Summit. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd C. and Irene Holmes; siblings, Tom Holmes, Dorothy Cooper, Grace Srader, and Joan Moneymaker. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joyce; sons, Keith and Kevin Holmes; stepson, Steven; stepdaughter, Shelly Meads Withrow; 11 grandkids; and 13 great-grandkids.
