Son of Robert and Sarah Steffee Carson, he was married, a farmer, lived in rural Sugarcreek Twp, was found dead outside the house, probably from a heart lesion, per death certificate 88105, whose informant was his wife. Buried Aug 25 1918.

He married Clara/Clarissa Gordon in 1865, had a daughter, Mary Clara Carson in 1871, and Clara died in 1872.
On Jun 13 1875 he married Olive Rebecca Payne.
