Joan M. Mooney, age 87, of West Dundee, formerly of the Wildwood-Libertyville area, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 13, 2016 at Sherman Westcourt in Elgin. Joan was born on March 19, 1929 in Dayton, OH and was the daughter of the late Thomas & Marie Ream. On May 6, 1961 she married Joseph W. Mooney. Joe preceded Joan in death on June 29, 2000 after 39 years of marriage. Survivors include her son: Edward T. Mooney, Adopted daughter: Mary Huff, former daughter-in-law: Connie Mooney, four grandchildren: Tiffany (Tyler) Newton, Bridget, Derek and Logan Mooney; as well as several friends including her best friend; Judy L. Vogel. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by her siblings. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Burial will follow in the Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
