CRIMORA, VA -- Paul David Kirtley, 71, of Crimora (Augusta County) passed away on 2 Apr 2016 at his home. Paul was born on 17 Apr 1944 in Shenandoah, VA; he was the son of the late Rita Melva (Cook) and Benjamin Kirtley.
He retired in 1994 from the spa management business and was currently involved in Real Estate. He enjoyed life and always had a smile on his face. He always saw the good in everything and everyone. He had a heart of gold. Paul enjoyed the outdoors and feeding the animals. Going to the lake with his wife and family, riding jet skis and spending time with his two granddaughters were among the many things that he loved to do.
On 18 Jul 1998, he was united in marriage to Teresa (Owen) Kirtley in Shenandoah, VA. Paul is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Milstead, of Waynesboro; a daughter, Paula Kirtley; 4 sons, Michael, Josh, Kris and Ben Kirtley; one sister, Mary Lee Grimsley of Shenandoah, VA; two brothers, Carl, Lee and Ann Kirtley of Elkton, Amos and Linda Kirtley of Grottoes; three special nephews, Doug and Susan Kirtley and their 4 children, Frank and Colleen Kirtley and Jeff Kirtley two granddaughters, Brianna and Alexia Sherwood best friend, Bobby Eutsler and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Benjamin, William "Billy", and Leon Kirtley and sisters, Evelyn Hensley and Ruth Smith.
A celebration of Paul's life will be held at his home, 2758 East Side Highway, Crimora, VA on 17 Apr 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. The family asks that everyone please bring photos, stories, and special memories to share with everyone.
