Joseph Robert Anderson, Jr., 67, of Jena, passed from this life on Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
He was born on November 21, 1948 in Hammond.
Joe served his country in the United States Marine Corp.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. Heath Harris officiating.
Interment followed in the Taylor Chapel Cemetery at Summerville under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Robert Anderson, Sr.; and two sisters, Nancy Elaine Hayes and Martha Faye Robertson.
Survivors include his mother, Onessia Cora Cockerham Anderson; brother, Rev. Charlie Anderson; and sister, Bobbie Jean Hinson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
