Carrie Louise Freeman, 82, of Philippi, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in the Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, following an extended illness.
She was born March 14, 1933, at Philippi, a daughter of the late Stanley Clyde and Margie Frances (Mouser) Cross.
On December 17, 1949, she was married to Charles B. Freeman, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Rexell “Rex” Freeman and wife, Joyce, Philippi, Stacey Freeman and wife Dorothea, Belington; one daughter, Amy Bennett, Belington; two brothers, William Alva “Buddy” Cross, Philippi and Elmer Karl Cross, Volga; three grandchildren, Roxann Shapiro, Christen Carpenter and Sharliee Bennett; three great grandchildren, Avi Shapiro, Bentley and Levi Ketterman.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Steven Ray Freeman.
Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker. She was a member of Central Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting ceramic pig figurines.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 4, 2016. L. Burl Haddix will officiate and interment will follow.
Friends may call at the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 966 So. Main Street, Philippi, from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday.
