Eula Effie Horne, age 94, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at her home. Eula was born on June 19, 1921 to her parents the late Augustus Keen and Rosalee Keen. She was the wife of the late James V. Horne, a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. Along with her husband and parents, Eula was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Betty and Sandy Justice and Richard Horne, and several brothers and sisters. Eula is survived by three daughters, Ida (James) Justice, Mabellene (Roy) Adkins, Ruth (John) Taylor, three sons, James V. (Geraldine) Horne, Jack V. (Loretta) Horne, Joe Ray (Linda) Horne, seventeen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Church of Christ Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
