M.C. “Pete” Duncan of Heavener, Oklahoma was born July 21, 1928 in Hodgen, Oklahoma to Earnest and Virginia (Azlin) Duncan and passed away April 12, 2016 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 87.

Pete was a life-long resident of the area, a 1947 Heavener High School graduate, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Heavener where he served as a Deacon and Trustee. Pete was a retired conductor for the Kansas City Southern Railroad and was a member of the United Transportation Union. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle.

He is survived by: His wife: Modena of 66 years
One daughter: Marilyn Duncan of Fort Smith, Arkansas
One brother-in-law: Harold Hayes and wife Jean of Fort Smith, Arkansas
Several nieces, nephews, and many friends

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bob Duncan; three sisters, L.V. Webb, Margaret Duncan, and Tommie Moore.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Sam Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Heavener, Oklahoma.
