Maude Louise Davis first married George Hicks on June 14, 1906. Mr. Hicks was a brakeman for the Railroad, and did quite a bit of travelling in his job. They were noted together with their two children, Eleanor and Clifford Francis Hicks in the 1910 census. George Hicks died in 1918. Maude married William Ries, Jr., and Eleanor took Mr. Ries' name. William is buried with his first wife.
