Memphis, TN - Shirley Ann Gardner Gore fell asleep in the Lord April 9, 2016. She was born February 12, 1922 in Mounds City, Illinois to Everette and Helen Gardner. She was a graduate of Tech High and Memphis State University and was a librarian for Memphis City Schools. She leaves her daughters Judy Perkins Terry (Trent) and Lynda Oakes (Michael); granddaughters Robyn Oakes van Eck (Roel), Susan Perkins Fisher (Charley) and Lauren Johnson (Ryan); great-grandchildren Audrey van Eck, Lieve van Eck, Hunter Johnson, Peter van Eck, Ryder Johnson, Jonathan van Eck, Paul van Eck, Michael van Eck, and Maggie Johnson. Visitation and the funeral will be at Bellevue Baptist Church (Pollard Chapel) at 10 and 12 respectively. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , Le Bonheur Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
