Timothy Dale Hunter, 71, of Latrobe, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016, in the Loyalhanna Care Center, Derry Township. He was born Nov. 4, 1944, in Latrobe, a son of the late Ralph M. Hunter Jr. and Elnora (Wheeler) Hunter. Tim was a 1963 graduate of Latrobe High School and an Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was employed by the former Latrobe Die Casting Co. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Latrobe and the American Legion Post 982. He loved listening to oldies and driving his classic 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible. In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret "Peg" Jackovitz; his brother-in-law, Thadeus "Ted" Jackovitz; and his father-in-law, Michael Cirelli. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Marlene (Cirelli) Hunter; his daughter, who he affectionately called "Daddy's Little Girl", Stacie Hunter Leone and her husband, Vincent, of Latrobe; two grandsons who were the joy of his life, Vincent Michael Leone II and Dante Hunter Leone; his brother, Ralph M. "Butch" Hunter Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Greensburg; his mother-in-law, Mary Daverso Cirelli, of Latrobe; his dear aunt, Marge Hunter Sigmund, of Greensburg, and Ruth Depetris, of Florida; a special nephew, Todd Jackovitz; and a number of other nieces and nephews including Lori Shoup (Pat), Scott Jackovitz (Neilia), Tammy Rusbosin (Dan), Ralph Hunter III (Amy) and Robert Hunter (Lisa); and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday April 14, 2016, in the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., in Latrobe. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 331 Weldon St., Latrobe, with his pastor, the Rev. Jeffrey L. Schock officiating. Interment with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post 33 Honor Guard will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
