Patty S. Teagarden, 64, of Claysville R.D.3, died at 1:35 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2002, in Washington Hospital.

She was born February 7, 1938, in Graysville, a daughter of Roy E. and Alma Pearl Hughes Riggs.

Mrs. Teagarden resided in Cameron, W.Va., prior to moving to the Claysville area in 1947.

She was a member of Claysville First Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star Lodge 187 in Claysville. Mrs. Teagarden was an Avon representative in Donegal Township and West Finley Township for several years.

She was an avid varsity and midget wrestling fan and a member of McGuffey Wrestling Boosters.

On April 25, 1953, she married Thomas Reid "Tucker" Teagarden, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Teryl (Terry) Clutter of West Finley and Robin Smith of Claysville; four sons, Thomas E. Teagarden of Washington, Douglas Teagarden of Claysville, Chad Teagarden, at home, and Charles N. Teagarden of Sandusky, Ohio; nine grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

TEAGARDEN - Friends of Patty S. Teagarden of Claysville R.D.3, who died Friday, May 31, 2002, will be received at a time and location to be announced. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville, is in charge of arrangements.
