William “Less” Johnson, age 68, Hamilton, passed away in Ft Hamilton-Hughes Hospital, Friday, at 12:52 pm. He was born in Fayette Co, Ky, the son of John & Nancy (Sloane) Johnson. He was a Veteran of the US Army, WW II, 1944. He attended the West Side Pentecostal Church. He was a member of the Champion Old Timers Club. He was employed as a crew leader for Champion Paper for 34 years, retiring in 1978. In September 1937, in Liberty, Ind, he was married to Captolia Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Captolia, Hamilton; one son, Jerry Johnson, Oxford; one daughter, Janet Hawkins, Hamilton; one brother, George Johnson, Blancherville, Wis; one sister, Lillian Betts, Hamilton; five grandchildren; & three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, Monday, at 2:00 pm, with Rev Dale Yerton, Pastor of the West Side Pentecostal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm.
