William E. (Bill) Sizemore, 76, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2005. Born June 19, 1928 in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Albert E. and Nancy Loudermilk Sizemore. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Murphy Sizemore. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller, and was a longtime member of Northview United Methodist Church. Surviving are his daughter, Stephanie B. Sizemore of Richmond; son, William Michael Sizemore and wife Michele, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Hannah Grisevich, Brandon Sizemore, and Chase Sizemore; brother, Eugene E. Sizemore and wife Betty of Roanoke; sister, Janice Ann Frescura and husband, Jim, of Texas; his K-9 family, Luke, Lilly, and Dexter, and his Feline family, Pearl and Pepper. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Building Fund c/o Northview United Methodist Church, 521 Ridgecrest Drive, Roanoke, Virginia 24019. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2005 at Northview United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bart Weakley. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, 366-0707.
