Howard Way

Howard Way, eighty-one, well known West Brandywine man, died suddenly yesterday afternoon about one o'clock. He was a retired carpenter and had been about as usual yesterday morning when he started to construct a floor in a tenant house on the Ash property in West Brandywine. Taken suddenly ill, with heart trouble and complications, he passed away a short time later.

Besides his window (sic), Mrs. Emma Ash Way, he is survived by the following children- Horace, Enola; Ralph, Bloomington, Del.; Charles, Downingtown; Miss Sara, at home; Mrs. Howard Harvey, Downingtown; and a brother, James Way, Reading.

Mr. Way was known as an expert carpenter and one of his last big jobs was on construction of the Coatesville Y.M.C.A. building.

Mr. Way was a former resident of Downingtown. He moved to the farm in West Brandywine about four years ago. The late William Way, of Mineral Springs, was a brother.

The funeral will take place from his later home on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Brandywine Manor Cemetery.
