Lenora Ross, 88, Garrison, died on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the Garrison Hospital.
Lenora was born August 3, 1927 in rural Jud, ND in LaMoure County to Gottlob and Emilie (Hartman) Presler. She was baptized September 18, 1927 at the Lutheran church in Jud and was confirmed July 14, 1940 at Zion Lutheran Church in Edgeley, ND. Lenora attended school through the 8th grade in Ray Township in Lamoure County. Lenora married Leonard Ross on March 14, 1948 at Zion Lutheran Church in Edgeley, ND. They made their home in Garrison, ND, with their two sons, Wayne and Lonnie. During their years in Garrison she worked at the Garrison Hospital and the Red Owl store.
Lenora loved to garden and sew. She sewed many clothes for herself and her boys, as well as many others, especially during the 1960’s. From her garden she was able to can all the produce for her family. Lenora is survived by her husband, Leonard, Garrison; son, Lonnie (Jackie) Ross, Cottage Grove, MN and Sebring, FL; grandchildren, Cori (Bill) Randall, Chris (Chelsie) Chathams, Cody (Jaelyn) Chathams, and Ryan (Tammy) Dockter, great grandchildren, Carter and Kolen Klein, Aubrey Reyes, Dawsyn, Kase and Finleigh Chathams, Hayden, Liam, Breyer Chathams, Emilie and Hannah Dockter; and brothers, Robert (Stella) Presler, Waysata, MN and Marvin (Cherly) Presler, Rosemont, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Wayne, brother, Theodore Presler, and an infant sister, Viola Presler.
