Kimberly Shue Helms, 52 of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016, suddenly in a car accident. A memorial service will be held on April 15, 2016 at Maranatha Worship Center, 99 White St., SW, Concord, NC at 4:30 pm, a fellowship to follow. Kimberly was such a strong-willed, positive person. There was never a dull moment with her around. She is loved so much by her entire family and all of her dear friends.

She is survived by her husband, Eric "Boonie" Helms; her daughter, Stephanie Shue; grandchildren, Leland Riley Yerkes, Skyler Grace "Gracie" Yerkes, Elijah David Yerkes; her father, Bobby David Shue; brother, David Shue & wife, Teresa; sister, Amy Shue; nieces, Jennifer Shue, Hilarie Ashlynne Barnhardt & husband, Matt; nephew, Zack McClure & wife, Amber; great niece, Rylen Slater; and great nephew, Adam Slater; as well as many others that she deeply cared for.

Kim graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1982. She loved the outdoors, gardening and spending time with her family.

Kim was preceded in death by her late husband, Steve Fowler; her mother, Nancy Helms Shue; and grandparents, Arthur David Shue and Madie Pearl Shue.
