Services for Amos P. Foster, widely known Cincinnati attorney and former football coach at the University of Cincinnati, will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the W. Mack Johnson funeral home, Walnut Hills. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Blue Ash.
Mr. Foster, who was 72 years old, died yesterday at Christ Hospital. In failing health for a year, he entered the hospital last Friday. Mr. Foster's home was at 2701 Stratford Ave., Clifton, and his law office was in the Second National Bank Building.
William H. Nieman, President of the Cincinnati Bar Association, announced the following pallbearers: Louis J. Stricker, Frank R. Gusweiler, William C. Busch, Albert T. Winkelmann, Charles E. Dornette, and Myron S. Rudd.
Mr. Foster came to UC in 19904 after four years as a star football player on the Dartmouth College team. Besides coaching a winning team at UC, he taught Greek and attended the university's law school, receiving his degree in 1907.
After brief periods as football coach at the University of Nebraska and Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, Mr. Foster began his law practice with the late Judge William Littleford. Others with whom he had been associated in his legal career were Judge Gusweiler, the late Louis Sawyer, and Howard Bevis, now President of Ohio State University.
Mr. Foster was a member of the Lafayette Lodge of the Scottish Rite and a life member of the Baptist Church in Keene, New Hampshhire, where he was born. For many years he was an active member of the Cincinnati Athletic Club and the Hyde Park Country Club.
Mr. Foster is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Thomas Foster, of the home address, and nieces and nephews in the East.

Foster, Cincinnati attorney who died Thursday in Christ Hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 today at the W. Mack Johnson funeral home, Walnut Hills.
