Benjamin Flowers was BORN in Pennsylvania, in c.1770, possibly a SON of David Flowers Sr. Members of the family were in York Co., Pennsylvania, at a very early time.

His parents died in Pennsylvania when he was young.

MARRIED: Elizabeth (Myers) probably in Pennsylvania, in c.1794

Benjamin and his family moved to Washington Co., Pennsylvania, by 1798. He still owned some property in York Co., Pennsylvania, with his brother, David Flowers, on the 1798-1800 York Co., PA, tax lists.

Benjamin Flowers is listed on the 1798 & 1800 Whiteley Township, Greene Co., Pennsylvania, tax lists.

DIED in Greene Co., Pennsylvania, in mid 1808.

Benjamin Flowers died intestate in 1808. In the Greene County, Pennsylvania, Orphans Court Docket vol. 1, 1797-1831, pg 22: "At an Orphan Court held at the town of Waynesburg ... Aug. 22, 1808." Hon. Samuel Roberts, Esq. Judge. "On the petition of Elizabeth Flowers, widow and relict of Benjamin Flowers, late of the County of Greene, setting forth that the said Benjamin Flowers died intestate, leaving John Flowers, his son, and Margaret, Elizabeth, and Sarah, his daughters, his heirs, all of which four children are under the age of fourteen years, and that the said children are entitled to some personal estate by the death of their said father. She therefore prays the Court to appoint a guardian of the persons and property of the said four minor children and recommends Jacob Black, Esq., as a suitable person for that purpose. Whereupon the Court appoints Jacob Black, Esq., guardian of the said John, Margaret, Elizabeth, and Sarah Flowers, agreeably to the prayer of the petitioner."
