Mell Epps, 74, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, peacefully succumbed to cancer, surrounded by his family at home on Saturday April 9,2016. Mell was a firefighter for the City of Mesa for 22 years, and a Fire Chief in Heber Overgaard for 5 years. Mell was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mell is proceeded in death by his father; JD, siblings; Jack, Libby, Jimmy, and daughter; Lynn Ellsworth. He is survived by his mother; Gertie, wife; Marie, and sons; Ray (Robyn), Scott (Anndera) and Darrell (Tracy). Siblings; Jerry (Marcis), Mike (Angelica), Kelly (Tom)Craig, Diane (Steve) Spraggins, 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Services for Mell will beheld on Saturday, April 16th at the Lehi Chapel located at 830 E. Lehi Rd. in North Mesa. There will be a viewing from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. The Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM followed by internment at the City of Mesa Cemetery.
