ELSIE ESTELLE SNYDER HEARD HARTMAN

Elsie was born to George Attaway Snyder and Agnes M. Mason Snyder
on December 1, 1909 at San Angelo, Texas. Elsie was raised in south Texas and the Robert Lee area where she attended school at Grand Valley. She married J.D. Heard on January 31, 1926 and they had 10 children. Not only did Elsie raise those children, but also nieces and nephews. She later married Bill Hartman.
She was well known for her cooking talents where everything was made from scratch. She worked as a cook in numerous restaurants. Elsie also loved to take time to go fishing, do quilting, and gardening. Elsie loved taking care of her grandchildren and always enjoyed the Heard reunion where she could see her loved ones as all family members were precious to her.
Elsie lived many years in Van Horn and Monahans before coming back to Brown County in 1991.
She is survived by:

Bobby Heard and wife Shirley of Early, TX
Eddie Heard of Early, TX
Mickie Heard of Ardmore, OK
George Heard and wife Irene of Early, TX
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren
Numerous nieces and nephews
