Polly A. Ferguson, 83, of Salida died April 8, 2016, in Colorado Springs.

She was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Crawford, Neb., to William and Fanchon (Gamet) Lyons.

She graduated from Scottsbluff High School in Scottsbluff, Neb., in 1950.

She married Earl E. Ferguson April 4, 1951, in Scottsbluff.

They moved to Arvada in 1960 with their three children. They lived there for 40 years.

She moved to Salida in 2001 after the death of her husband in 2000 and was active in The Noteables, the First Presbyterian Church choir and the Chaffee County Fair.

Friends and family said Mrs. Ferguson was always the lady and caregiver.

She enjoyed the mountains, singing, sewing and spending time with her family and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Jack Lyons and Robert Lyons.

Survivors include her children, Linda Cook of Salida, Mickey (Dia) Ferguson of Livingston, Mont., and Kris Ferguson of Salida; sister, Sara Jane Hippe of Plattsmouth, Neb.; grandchildren, Travis (Samantha) Ferguson of Vancouver, Wash., Zac (Katherine) Ferguson of Lakewood, Bailey (Josh) Cole of Livingston and Aubrey (Chana) Ferguson of Cedar City, Utah; and great-grandchildren, Mera, Gunner and Cooper.

Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. April 16, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church in Salida.

A reception will follow.
