Elmer Louis Moore of Gilbert, AZ passed away on March 31, 2016 in Gilbert at the age of 89.
Elmer was born in Los Angeles, CA, June 7, 1926.
After graduating from high school, he served in the US Navy for 2 years. After working several years for the Pacific Electric Railway as Conductor and Motorman he went to work for Western Electric and the AT&T (Bell) Telephone Company, from which he retired in 1985.
Elmer is survived by his wife, Janice Champion Barney Moore; two sons, David E. Moore (Kathy) of Sugarland, TX and William T. Moore also of Texas; four step-children; six grandchildren; 22 step-grandchildren; 38 great and step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Marie Ashdown of Philomath OR.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Clarissa Moore; his first wife, Mildred Grace Mulkey; four daughters; and two step-sons.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Saturday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, St. Joseph, Missouri. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Moore will be removed from Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory to arrive at the church one hour prior to the service.
