Mr. Jackie Don Few, 69, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Sardis Baptist Church. Bro. Jeremy Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow the services in Sardis Cemetery.

Jackie was born in Mineola, Texas, to the late Gilbert Edward and Dorothy May Few, and lived in either Mineola or Jewett almost all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army including duty overseas in Vietnam. Jackie worked for Champion Mobile Homes in Buffalo for many years until the business closed, and later worked as a digger operator for the electric company. He enjoyed working in his yard, solving Sudoku puzzles, going to casinos, and loved taking numerous trips to the beach. He attended Sardis Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by brothers: Gilbert Noel Few, Orville Mike Few, and Paul Wayne Few.

Survivors include his sons, Jackie Dewayne Few, and Michael John Few and wife, Tina, all of Jewett; daughters, Rose Few Wells and husband, Donny, of Centerville, and Jennifer Lynn Few and William Towery, Jr., of Jewett; grandchildren: Heather Wells, Dalton Wells, Austin Few, Brittany Few, Michael Johnathan Few, Ian Few, Sharman Laspanas, Dylan Thompson, Myranda Thompson, Kevin Thompson, and Chevy Towery; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Few, of Mineola, and Nancy Few, of Silver Lake; brother, Bobbie Few, Sr., of Teague; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
