Angie Chaplin Stephens entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Angie was born July 11, 1949, in Newberry County. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel Dawkins Chaplin, the granddaughter of the late Whit and Angie Titus Chaplin and the late William and Laura Glymph Dawkins.

Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel and Eddie James Chaplin.

Angie was baptized at an early age at Fellowship Baptist Church in Pomaria, SC, where she continued to be an active member.

She was a retired clerk with the United States Postal Service (Chapin, SC) where she served for 23 years. In her spare time, Angie enjoyed tending to her flowers and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Stephens is survived by her husband, Bobby L. Stephens; children, Vilarin (Joseph) McGill of Charleston, SC, Mack Mozee of Pomaria, SC, Nicole (Hank) Herring of Prosperity, SC, and Bobby T. (Sha’Tara) Stephens of Irmo, SC; brother, Thomas Chaplin (Helen) of Whitmire, SC; seven grandchildren, Calvin, Jocelyn, Peyton, Daysha, Haylee, Landyn, and Nicholas; brother-in-law Willie Stephens, and sister-in-law Mary Lee Stephens. A special thank you to Agape Hospice for the compassion and loving care they gave her during her final days.

Graveside service: Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road Columbia, SC 29229.
