Virginia Ann Jennings, 84, of Spencer, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Meadows Manor North in Terre Haute. She was born November 9, 1931 in Terre Haute to Manuel and Annabelle (Michaels) Phillips. She was a 1949 graduate of Wiley High School in Terre Haute. She worked at Westinghouse, Columbia Records, and Indiana University. She attended Spencer First Christian Church and was a member of Nine Patch Quilting Club, Eastern Star, and Traveling Turtles Club. She enjoyed reading, sewing, working on crafts, and whistling. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Virginian is survived by her children, Richard “Terry” Jennings, Jr. (Marsha) of Waxahachie, TX, Jennifer Sue “Susie” Boone of Three Forks, MT, Jeff Jennings (Gail) of Spencer, Sally Liechty (Doug) of Coal City, Shane Jennings (Connie) of Fishers, and Beth Moak (Stephen) of Fort Wayne; nineteen grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Richard “Dick” Jennings, Sr.; and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 12pm, Saturday, April 9, 2016 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Dr. Allan Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
