Norma Jean was born on Jan 4, 1932 to Ernest William and Belva Moon Thompson in Heber City, Utah. She had 4 brothers: Merlin, Glendon, Gary, Karl and 2 sisters: Maxine and Donna.

Norma married the love of her life, Jack Sabey, on May 11, 1950. Together, they would start their life in Wallsburg. 16 years later, they welcomed home their daughter, Jackie. Being an only child, she was their joy. Jack passed away March 8, 1988.

Norma worked throughout her life retiring from the school lunch after 20+ years of service in Heber. She enjoyed making quilts, embroidering dish towels, baking/cooking, canning goods (she was famous for her raspberry jam), and looked forward to the annual Thompson Family reunion.

Norma was a 65 year resident of Wallsburg. She had a special place for Wallsburg in her heart. She loved the Valley and all the people who live there. Norma enjoyed her usual visitors and talked of them often, especially the children and their stories. Her 3 grandchildren, Tyler (Stephanie) Sabey, Marinda (Michael) Moore, Jordan (Ryan) Leavitt and 10 Great Grandchildren will greatly miss their Gram. She was the Greatest Woman They Ever Knew.

The Family would like to thank the Wonderful people of Wallsburg for all of their love and care for Norma through the years. From her annual Christmas tree, mail being gathered, to her firewood being delivered, it was always appreciated and helped her tremendously.

We are happy to honor Norma, our dear Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and friend, with a viewing from 10:00-11:30am, followed by a graveside service at the Wallsburg Cemetery on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. Condolences maybe shared online at www.probstfamilyfunerals.com
