Dora Mae Johnson-Nelson, age 78, of Texarkana, Texas, died April 11, 2016 at her home.
She was born November 15, 1937 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Joe Johnson and Evelyn Johnson. She was retired from Stemco in Longview, Texas and a Christian.
Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Nelson and one great grandson, Nikalas Santos Reyes Wisinger.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Lonnie and Evie Johnson of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter: Donna Gildon of Texarkana, Texas; three brothers: Warren Everette Johnson, Jerry Ray Johnson, Gerald Wayne Johnson, four sisters: Betty Jo Brooks, Gloria Faye Hernsberger, Peggy Dianne Johnson and Debra Jean Burnside; four grandchildren: Crystal Johnson, Kyle Johnson, James Wisinger and his wife Kriqui; Lisa Wagoner and her husband Josh; six great grandchildren: Emily Wisinger, Nicholas Hacker, Tristian Wisinger, Carter Jace Johnson, Brianna Wagoner, and Riley Wagoner and a number of other relatives.
The funeral services will be held at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Murphy officiating. The burial services will be held in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. Memorial may be made to the Nikalas Reyes Wisinger Scholarship Fund at any Red River Credit Union location.
