She met her husband Glenn Humphrey in early 1951, and they were married on October 6th of the some year. Mark was born in 1955 and Marla in 1958. The family moved in 1957 to California. Glenn initially wanted to go to the San Francisco Bay area, having served there in the Marine Corps. However, they ended up in Southern California to be close to Nancy's brother Bob.
She worked for Edwall Laboratories in Illinois, and later in California for the International Association of Machinists Union (IAM) in Ontario. She worked for IAM for about 25 years and retired to help Glenn in his bookkeeping business.
Family adventures included camping in Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Joshua Tree, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Doheny, Morro Bay, and many wonderful weeks on the bluffs of Carlsbad.
Glenn was an avid golfer and got Nancy hooked on the game as well. They traveled all over the country playing in couples events or with friends. Nancy also enjoyed playing golf with her grandchildren, Curtis, Elizabeth and Benjamin. She loved to needlepoint and paint as well.
Nancy's last few years were tough, as she battled many health issues. She believed in God and the salvation offered through the grace and compassion of Jesus Christ our Savior. She passed peacefully on Sunday April 10, 2016 at the age of 87 years. We truly believe she is pain free and getting ready to tee it up with Pops (Glenn) on the last hole of Heavens Gate County club.
